I was born in Cairo, Illinois. I have never heard of the town Marseilles. On Jul 20, 2004 I was in the area and drove from Pulaski to Villa Ridge on Route 51. There was a farm house here and there but no town. During the Civil War, there was a camp for 109th Illinois Infantry in the area of Villa Ridge. Perhaps the town existed only to support the military and was abandoned after the war. Notify Administrator about this message?
