I have followed this family somewhat and am a little confused. pulaski county births records the following information for dr. marcus l. winstead and wife:
Anna Maria Winstead, white, born 12 Sep 1896, daughter of Mary Ann nee Lentz, age 34, born in North Carolina, and Dr. M.L. Winstead, of Wetaug, age 49, born in Illinois
dr. winstead married zilpah tweedy (also called zilla) in 1877 and was still married to her in 1910, so i wonder how pulaski county came to record winstead as married to mary ann lentz who would have been born in 1862. i have record of a mary ann lentz born in 1862 who married thomas j. mowery in 1884. seems close, but no cigar. i would guess a typo except that the new born was named anna maria winstead of whom i could no further record.
