I am searching for information on John W. Doyle. According to the Journal of his son, (and my direct line grandfather), Frank Doyle, they lived in Randolph County, Illinois where John’s wife and Frank’s mother, Rebecca Elizabeth (Johnson/Johnston) Doyle passed away in childbirth. See the following:
I, William Franklin Doyle, born February 21, 1856, in Belmont County, Ohio, was moved to Randolph County, Illinois, by my father in 1857. In 1860 I was moved to Jefferson County, Illinois.
I am completely stuck on John W. Doyle and his wife Rebecca Elizabeth. Rebecca is the daughter of Sarah Johnson (by one census)/Johnston (by another census). John W. was born February 3, 1829 in Belmont County, Ohio. On October 27, 1850 in Moundsville, Marshall County, (West) Virginia, he was united in marriage to Rebecca Johnson, when he removed to Chester, Randolph County, his wife died February 1858.
John W. Doyle died January 16, 1898 in Achilles, Rawlins County, Kansas.
