McFarlin - Couey Marriage

Searching for information regarding James F. Couey who married Elizabeth McFarlin, February 1, 1836 in Randolph County, Illinois. May have owned land near Kaskaskia a year before 1840, may have had a son George Couey, who traveled with my great, great, great, great Grandfather George McFarlin from Grant County, Wisconsin, to Shasta County, California. It was this George that was a leader of an 1860 wagon train. Elizabeth McFarlin Couey may be a possible sibling to George McFarlin. Ancestry.com has this marriage listed under Illinois Marriages to 1850
