Hi Roberta,

My husband is a descendant of the Imes-Marks union.I have not been able to find much about John W.Imes parents (due to the fact - I was told that he was orphaned at the age of 5). This is my husbands line John W. Imes (b.1852) and Veronica Marks (b. 1865) begat Alfred ? Imes(b. 1892) who married Pearl Wild(e)s, they begat Alfred Joseph Imes (b. 1921?) who married Betty Wilson Leighty (b. 1919?) who begat my husband John Steven Imes (b. 1944).
I have one generation back on Veronica Marks (her parents names were Joseph and Mary Anna and they came over from Switzerland in 1818(?). They had 13 children, all of which died before they did, accept for Veronica. Apparently they lived a long life, maybe even celebrating their 65th anniversary??
Please send me what you can, and if you have any holes you need filled please ask. My brother-in-law (Lawrence Allen Imes ((b.1957)) is supposed to be sending more information my way).
Thank you,
Jamie Imes
