Roberta,

Thank you for your response. Losing a son (or daughter) in war is a terrible thing; losing two is unfathomable.

I understand my GGF John Bagley Imesís father Thomas had 2 brothers, Solomon and Peter (who reportedly married Jemima Bagley), one sister Mary Ann and possibly a second sister (name unknown). If this is correct then my GGF John B, and Peter and Jemimaís sons Thomas and Martin were first cousins.

How were Thomas and Martinís father Peter, and James and Williamís father John, related? Were they brothers in which case John is a previously unknown (to me) 3rd brother of Thomasís, or were they cousins, or what?? Interesting!

Thank you,
Richard
