Further to the above message I have learned the following information ...
Frederick and Catherine had the following children
Frederick Christian b. July 1851 - married Madeline CAREW b. 1857
George b. 1853 married Emmaline CLENDENNING
Henry b. 1856 married Sarah GRACEY
Margaret b. 1858 married Amos HEASLIP
Mary b. 1860 married Dilly D. HOLMES
William died in infancy
Charles b. 1864 never married
John b. 1866 married Minne __________ moved to British Columbia
Frederick (I) had several brothers and sister who emigrated about the same time or a bit earlier than he did. They settled in the Simcoe/Delhi area of Ontario. This family started out in Jordon, Ontario then moved to Ottersville (near Delhi) and lastly settled in Wellandport Ontario where the elders and some of the children are buried.
Frederick (II) and Madeline CAREW lived in St. Catharines for, I beleive, all of their married life. I have their decendants if anyone is interested.
So far I have not been able to find Frederick's parents nor the names of his siblings. I do know that he came from Wurttemburg, Germany.
