I think I saw this posting a couple of months ago and hope that I can still make contact with you. George Immel and Susan Lankford are my great-grandparents. Their first son, James Conrad Immel, is my grandfather. His youngest son, Warren Harding Immel, is my father. I have been researching this family for quite a few years. I've been able to get back to George's parents, Conrad Immel and Martha Baker. Conrad, his wife, George, and 2 daughters - Anna Catherine and Mary? are listed on the 1860 Census in Washington Co., Ohio. They apparently immigrated from Hesse-Kassel province in Germany. That's as far as I've gotten. Susan's various lines are being traced back into England--leaving from Devonshire and Cornwall. I have a lot of stuff. George and Susan had 13 children--only their daughter Anna Catherine died as an infant. The rest lived into adulthood. I have some of the descendants' information.
