seeking information on a Samuel Douglas/Douglass, who is believed to be the first husband of Lucretia Davies. He is thought to be the father of Orange Mack Douglas [ca 1848?-1889]. It is believed that Samuel and Lucretia were from PA or neighboring areas, and settled in Adams or Huntington County, IN. Lucretia married Henry Stacy in 1845 in Adams Co.
Orange is found in 1860 living with the Henry Shoemaker family in Adams Co, IN. What happened to Samuel?
