I have copy of some 2003 eamils you exchanged with Maryellen Grossman at Barth. Co. courthouse, and have done some work on the Andersons in Clifty Twp. Mary Anderson was a granddaughter of John B. & Mary Burke Anderson, not a daughter. Her father was David Anderson (1800-1882). I have no mother listed. Mary was b. 1821; David Anderson m. Eleanor Carr in 1823, and had six more children, some in NJ & the rest in Indiana. I had Mary's death date 1893 as simply "Minnesota," but when I started checking for them on the census, was excited to see them in Morristown Twp., Rice Co. in 1870. (My father was born in Rice Co. 1909, so I have some resources, including the 1981 Rice Co. Family Histories which includes the Lukers.) A favorite website bookmark is: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mnrice/ and a subpage http://www.dalbydata.com/user.php?action=cemsearch This last is the "Dalby Database" which includes the Sakatah Cemetery in LeSeur Co., where Mary Anderson Reynolds Luker is buried, with her husband, and the four oldest Reynolds sons. I got full dates on three of the four, plus daughter Letha who m. Samuel Benton Rohrer; they are buried at Riverside Cemetery, in Morristown. (Rohrers were also from Bartholomew Co., although the family here changed the spelling to Rhorer.) Did Mary and Freedom actually reside in LeSeur Co. when they died? Or Rice? Bio isn't clear on this point, but it says their farm is now part of Sakatah State Park. Donna Kuhlman Bartholomew Co. Genealogical Society Notify Administrator about this message?
