Alvis Washington HOLDER (1831-1921) married Louisa Jane ICE (1840-1911) in Grant County, Indiana on Feb 16, 1862. They moved to Benton County (Otterbein) a short time later and had the following children: Walter William HOLDER (1864-1938)married Virginia F. Denning; Albert Edgar "Ed" Holder (1867-1942) married #1)Mary Ellen McKinnis Timmons #2) Mary E. Mulvey; Logan Vinton "Sam" Holder 1868-1938 married #1)Mary Bessie Lake #2) Rachel Gertrude Lowery; Charles Elas Holder 1871-1872; Wilmore Holder 1873-1873; George Washington Holder 1874-1950 married Louise Sewell; Mary Jane Holder 1879-1962 married Elijah William Gephart.
