Hi Lana,
I don't know as much as I would like to know by the Townsend's. Maurice Townsend was the 34th Governor of Indiana 1937-1941. He is family but, I don't know the family connection. I thought I might be able to find some of his siblings. He passed away in 1954, he Had a son Maxwell, and two daughters, Lucile and Helen. I will be honest I don't know who your Townsend's are. My Great-GreatGrandparents were George and Susanah Dingman Townsend and they lived in Miami County, Peru, Indiana. I have been years searching for who my relatives were and a very dear lady in North Judson, In., found this info for me, she was of great help, this past January she had a heart attack and passed away, she will be sorely missed.
I hope we can figure all of this out, because I sure would like to know who my relatives were and maybe I can make a connection with some living relatives, that would be great.
