Boone County Courthouse Records in Basement?

Three or four years ago a lady by the name of Nancy Riffle was researching James A. Carty. She mentioned that she went into the Courthouse basement and there were cardboard boxes with papers in them. She located an ancestor that tied us into James P. Carty of Boone Co. That is all we know. I do not have any idea of who this lady was. My goal is to hopefully find the papers and document them. Would like to hear from anyone who may know of possiblity of such boxes. Am planning another trip to Lebanon in early June to continue researching Anderson, Carty, Trosper, and Whitted/Whitehead lines. Any help, suggestions, and/or guidance greatly appreciated. Thank you. Paula G. Herron
