This couple is listed in the Boone County USFC for 1860. She was born in 1835 (Shelby Co., IN), daughter of Colville and Roxa (Tubbs) Pearce. He reportedly was born in Shelby Co., IN in 1831 and may be related to pioneer Josiah Query of Decatur Co., IN. He signed for a share of her father's estate in 1863, along with David Tuel, husband of her sister, Mary Pearce Tuel. I have found the Tuels in the USFC of 1880 in Fugit T., Decatur Co., IN. Her other three sisters moved from the Hendricks Co., IN area where they were in the 1860s to Effingham and Shelby Cos., Illinois by 1870 or 1880. Seek info as to whether Leander and/or Martha McQuery stayed in Boone, or moved on.
