I have the following info on Charles H. Roth and his family, who moved to Brown County in the late 1860s:
Father: Charles H. Roth (1825) (canal boatman)
Mother: Sarah Miller (b.1827)
Married: September 1849 Lawrence County PA
Son: John
Son: Frank P
Son: Charles Craig
Daughter: Victoria
Son: Harry Lamont Roth (b.1862 Pennsylvania)
Daughter: Catherine (Kitty)
Son: Gilson Watson
(There also may be a further daughter named Mary.)
This family moved to Brown County Indiana to do farming. Charles Craig Roth moved to Indianapolis and, I believe, that his son became a lawyer in Chicago. Harry, my ggrandfather, moved to Kentucky and became a Superintendent of the Southern Railroad.
I have further information on marriages and children, as well as census records going back to 1840, but need help with death dates and places.
