I have a Cass County family whose surname I can't determine from the censuses...

1850 - OH: Montgomery Co
STRAW David 42 Germany
_____ Mary 48 Virginia
_____ Elizabeth 9 Ohio
_____ David 5 Ohio

1860 - IN: Cass Co: Tipton Twp
STROP Gotlip D 53 Wuerttemberg
_____ Mary 58 Bottetort Co VA
_____ Elizabeth 19 Montgomery Co OH
_____ David 15 Montgomery Co OH
And don't we wish all enumerators had included the county!

1870 - IN: Cass Co: Tipton Twp
STORH Gotleib D 62 Wuerttemberg
_____ Mary 68 Virginia

I *think* their son, David, is one later enumerated consistently as STROUP, but I can't be certain because he's not in Cass County.

Does anyone recognize this family and know their "real" surname?
