Samuel Jackson Revolutionary War Veteran

WANTED A DIRECT MALE DESCENDANT OF ZEPHANIAH JACKSON TO TEST AT EITHER ANCESTRY.COM OR FTDNA TO PROVE WHICH JACKSON LINEAGE THIS REVOLUTIONARY WAR VETERAN REPRESENTS.

Samuel Jackson b. 1756 Prince William County, Virginia. Migrated to Mason County Kentucky 1798 and then to Floyd County, Indiana. Samuel died 1841 Morgan County, Illinois near his daughter Keziah Jackson Wright. Abstract of his 45 page pension paper written by A.D. Hiller Executive Asst. is availble in PDF format, contact jrmcanally@msn.com More details on Samuel’s life story within the PDF file.

Samuel had seven children living in 1855 and they were:

Zephaniah b. 1782 Virginia m. Francis Kendall 1810 Shelby Co., KY, lived in Franklin County, Kentucky and migrated to Clark County, Indiana. He had eleven children that lived to maturity. Died Tipton County, Indiana 1875.

Charles b. abt 1775 Virginia and we conjecture married Anne Duncan 1799 Bourbon County, KY and migrated to the counties of Bourbon, Jefferson, Henry, Oldham, and Trimble Kentucky, dying aft 1860 in Trimble County. A Willis Jackson appears to be his son and a direct male descendant of Willis has tested at FTDNA with a 37/37 match to the ancestral haplotype of the Hempstead Jackson lineage, see this web site for details on the Hempsteads. http://www.jacksonfamilygenealogy.com/

John is completely untraced but could have been with Zephaniah in Franklin County, Kentucky in the 1817-1819 period as both names appear on the tax rolls of that County.

Lucy Jackson Stanberry untraced.

Nancy Daniels untraced.

Polly Weldon untraced.

Kessiah/Keziah Jackson Wright, b.abt 1802 m. Reuben Wright resident of Morgan Co., in 1855.
