Seeking information on the origins of Dickey Shepherd who married Betsy Stone December 19, 1810 in Fayette county, KY (and later married her sister Margaret Stone, October 27, 1818, in Fayette county). Dickey Shepherd appears in Kentucky tax lists for Clark county 1813-1815, Fayette county 1818, and 1822-26, and Woodford county 1819, and 1827-34. His later life is documented, but where Dickey Shepherd came from and who his parents are remain a mystery? The 1850 census for Clinton co. Indiana records his birthplace as Virginia. Desire information on his whereabouts previous to 1813.
