Felix R Sloan, 104, Tyrone, N.M., died Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at Casa De Oro Care Center in Las Cruces, N.M. Born Oct. 29, 1902, in Marengo, Carwford, Indiana he was the son of the late Haden and Ella Miller Sloan. He served in the Navy during World War I and was a former employee of the Veterans Administration in California. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Engleman Sloan. Survivors include two daughters, Jacueline Kennedy and Mary Nelson, both of Tyrone; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. His cremains will be buried in Marengo Cemetery. Terrazas Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
