Update: I know Burris (Buris, Burrows, Burrois, Burress, and Burros and may also have been named James Buris VanHorn)died in May of 1893..no exact date yet...and Mary died sometime after April 1898 when she filed a "widow's declaration for pension on her husband's Civil War service in which she stated her husband's death date and their marriage date.
