I am trying to determine the ancestry of Horace A. MASTERS, August 1855 Indiana.
Searching the census at ancestry.com I can not find him in 1860. However:
1870 US Census, Indiana, Daviess County, Barr Township; dwelling 450. Horace MASTERS, 14, appears in the household of Ignatius and Mary (MASTERS) WALKER. Ignatius WALKER m. Molly MASTERS 8 Nov 1832, Daviess County.
1880 US Census, Indiana, Daviess County, Van Buren Township; dwelling 109; Horace A. MASTERS, 25, appears in the household of the widow Susan CLARK. Horace is labeled as a nephew of Susan CLARK. John Wesley CLARK m. Susan MASTERS 18 Jan 1843. Susan MASTERS is a sister of Molly MASTERS who married Ignatius WALKER.
From the 1870 and 1880 census schedules above, it would appear that Horace A. MASTERS is a nephew of both Susan and Molly. Thus Horace must be a son of a brother of these two ladies. But I can find no candidates for his parents.

1900 US Census, Indiana Daviess County, Bogard Township; Horace MASTERS, head, b. Aug 1855, farmer; wife B. Sep 1856; Edgar, son b. Aug 1891; Charles, son, b. Sep 1892; Edith, dau, b. Dec 1894; Gladys, dau, b. Jul 1897.
Who are the parents of this Horace A. MASTERS?
