I am searching for information on the White family that lived in Dearborn County, Indiana.
My great great grandmother was Margaret M. White. She was born around 1821 in Ohio.
She married Arnold Benton in 1852 in Dearborn County, and lived in Franklin County.
I do not know anything about Margaret before she was married.
I did find a Margaret M. White in Dearborn County, in 1850, living with a family, possibly a brother? (Alexander and Mary Jane White and children.)
She is the right age and was also born in Ohio, and has M. as a middle name.
This is in Logan Township, Book 1, page 321.
A few houses down was a Henry and Elizabeth White who is the right age to be her parents.
Do you know anything about this Henry and Elizabeth and if they had a daughter named Margaret?
I did find Henry in the 1840 Census and he did have a daughter in the right age group.
Any help you could give me would be appreciated.
