This family moved to Clinton Twp, Decatur Indiana between 1822-1823, any help is appreciated. Anything on Moses death?
Moses is believed to be the brother of John, James and Edward VanLue, VanLiew, all who resided in Ross, Butler County Ohio. Moses married Elizabeth 17 Aug 1820, in Butler County and then their family moved on to Decatur County IN. where Moses died in 1829. Can anyone tell me who Moses, John, James and Edwards father was? They were born PA, Ohio or New Jersey depending on whose records you are looking at. Moses served in the war of 1812:MITCHELL'S DETACHMENT, RIFLEMEN, PENNSYLVANIA MILITIA. Does anyone have any ideas where I can get more information on his unit?
It looks like all four men came from Pennsylvania to Ohio. Moses is listed in the 1820 census for Butler Co Ohio.
I would really appreciate it if anyone out there has any information they can share. I have searched his brothers and put together their tree with internet help,
