Anyone researching the Perkins of these counties including Delaware? The two in particular are a Wilson Perkins born about 1802 and Joseph Perkins who married Catherine Deskin. They may be his parents. I am working on Edward Perkins and his wife Lucy R. King who married in 1849 in Marion County, IN. and moved to Iowa. Wilson Perkins found in the following locations: Dubois County, IN 1830 census Franklin Township, Marion County, IN 1840 Census Franklin Township, Marion County, IN 1850 Census no Wilson Perkins but Edwin and his wife Lucy R. King. Edwin (aka Edward) thought to be his brother or son. Joseph Perkins born 1776 died 1843 Catherine Deskin born 1783 died 1843 married about 1798 or 1799 place unknown Children: (I have not proved these as of yet) 1. John Perkins born 1801 2. Wilson Perkins born 1802 3. William Perkins born 1804 4. Jane Perkins born 1805 5. Mary Perkins born 1809 6. Nancy Perkins born 1811 7. Alexander Perkins born 1814 in Kentucky 8. Sarah Ann Perkins born 1816 Kentucky 9. Lucinda Perkins born 1819 10. Joseph Perkins born 1821 11. Catherine Perkins born 1824 Henry County, KY. 12. Joseph Samuel Perkins born 1826 13. James Henry Perkins born 1829 The children married into the following surnames: Walker, Messenger, Lane, Haugh, Fred, Gordon, Wilson, Skelley, King Also anyone from these groups participate in the Perkins DNA Study? Please only reply if you know something of these lines. They came from Kentucky prior to Indiana, maybe Bath County, Kentucky. These Perkins have ties to North Carolina as well as other states.
