Phineas Preston, a Civil War Veteran, appeared in court in Muncie, IN, on March 25, 1912, to object to the legal decree at Muncie that he was dead. Since his family had not heard from him in nine years, a few weeks earlery they had him declared legally dead in order to settle up his estate. I am a Preston researcher. How would I go about learning who his "family" was? MaryLu in Minnesota Notify Administrator about this message?
