Looking for leads to find Essman & Hellman or Kellerman families who were in Dubois County around 1879. Particularly looking for information regarding:
Henry/Heinrich Essman/Eshman/Esman
Caline/Caroline/Kathleen Hellman/Helman/Kellerman/Hellerman
Louis Essman/Esmann/Esman
Henry and Caline Essman are found in the 1880 census of Pike County... Carrie Essman married Jake in Dubois County in 1913... Henry married Myrtle Corn 1920 in Dubois County. Child of Henreich and Caroline Eshman in 1881 St. Lutheran Church Records in Holland IN found in Dubois County. Child was age 1 at time of his death.
Perhaps someone can remember this family living in or around the area.
My husband's grandmother's name was Carrie Essman, She had brother's named Louis and Henry. Louis lived in Stendal IN and Henry lived in Streator IL. She also had a sister named Katie who lived in Evansville who married Bismark L Heldt. Carrie married three times... first to Jake Smith, then to Gustave Grossman, then to Charles Selby.
