Benjamin Sanders was born about 1792 in NC. He served in War of 1812 in Indiana Territory and lived in Clark and Crawford Co.'s Indiana before moving to Dubois Co. about 1830's. He married Sarah (Sarry) born about 1800 in KY. Their children were: William about 1818, Henry about 1819, Elizabeth about 1827, Samuel S. about 1828, Melinda about 1833, Sarah about 1835, Marion about 1837 and Martha J. about 1840. I believe Benjamin was part Cherokee and Sarry may have been also.
Samuel S. Sanders married Sela (Celia) Harmon 1 26-1852 in Dubois Co,IN.Sela was born about 1832 in KY. Their children were: Sarah about 1851, Margaret about 1853, Nancy Jane about 1856, Mary about 1859, Jacob about 1861, Henry about 1863, Emily about 1866, Joseph about 1868, James about 1869 and Amanda about 1873. Samuel and family moved to Liberty, Stoddard Co.,MO between 1870-1880.
