I am interested in the records of the Dubois County Poor Farm that was near
Ireland, IN. Do those records exist? I am especially interested in records from
1939-1949. I have a descendant who, I believe, was moved there from the Martin County Home when it closed in 1939 (?). His name was Mike Deckard.
He died in 1949 and was returned to Martin County (I think) for burial.
Any information will be appreciated.
