I found what I believe to be Chloe's California death record:

Name: Chloa Johnson
Sex: F
Birth date: 3 Apr 1875
Birthplace: Indiana
Death date: 11 Jan 1948
Death place: San Diego
Father's surname: Myers
Mother's maiden name: Edgell

Then on WorldConnect, I found a family group that appears similar to the one you described:
