Thank you for your response! The information concerning Elmer E. Thompson is interesting and I appreciate it. According to the 1920 census, his parents were born in IN whereas William Thompson was b MD and Hannah was b OH. However, census records can contain erroneous data. I haven't had the opportunity yet to see the enumeration in the 1930 census. It may have different information concerning his parents.

This family was in the 1870 census, Boone Co., IN, Sugar Creek Twp.
William H. Thompson 35 MD
Hannah 36 OH
Charlie 7 IN
Elva 3 IN
Omer C. 5 IN
Zella 4 IN
Jessie 1 IN

This is in the sequence as listed. Elva and Zella were age 14 in the 1880 census in Marion Co., IN. "Omer C." age 5 in 1870 seems to be Elmer age 16 in 1880 and was not with the family in 1900 in Fountain Co., IN. If the middle initial in 1870 is valid that may raise a question of whether he was Elmer E. in 1920 and 1930.

I am still seeking further information regarding this family. Do you have a connection to them; are you kindly helping another researcher; or both??

Again thanks,
Jay G. Lamb
