Thank you for the additional information that may in part pertain to the family of William A. and Hannah(Lamb) Thompson's family.
Personnel at the Fountain County Indiana Genealogical Research Library helped by providing the following from the county's death record:
W. A. Thompson, age 82, male, white;
b 4 Jun. 1835 OH; d 24 Oct. 1917, Attica;
died from clot in heart; Real Estate Dealer;
burial: Riverside Cemetery, Attica, IN
father: William Thompson b unknown
mother: unknown
According to the Library's transcript of inscriptions in Riverside Cem., no headstone is in the cemetery for him or for his wife. So far we don't know if she was buried there or elsewhere. I have ordered the Attica Ledger through interlibary loan so will search that newspaper for an obituary. It hopefully will tell where the family members were living at the time of his death. Then further information can be gathered regarding the children and their mother.
The above indicates that W. A. Thompson was born in OH; however, census records indicate his birth was in MD.
