I am hoping to find out where Nancy Ann CAMPBELL is buried at or near Attica. She died there Feb. 24, 1879 and was buried the next day. Nancy (maiden name unknown, b. KY) was the wife of Arthur CAMPBELL of Ohio. After Nancy's death, Arthur went to live near his daughter Elizabeth CHILD, in Waterville, Le Seuer County, MN and then on to Dakota Territory.
Arthur and Nancy Ann CAMPBELL evidently lived at Attica for a short time, in proximity to Mary TULLIS and family. I believe they might have also been acquainted earlier when some members of the TULLIS family lived in Paxton, Ford County, IL. (They DID get around!). Per the 1880 Fountain County census, some of the TULLIS family still lived in Attica, including a daughter, Anna M. TULLIS, who supplied an affidavit for Arthur CAMPBELL to receive his dead son's Civil War pension, stating they were members of the same Methodist church and giving Nancy Ann's death information.
Can anyone give me cemetery names in and around Attica and any contact information for someone having knowledge about them? Thanks in advance.
