I am searching for information on George Washington JOHNSON (who were his parents) born in Shelby Co.IN., but lived most of life in Hancock Co.IN., he was B: 20 Sep.1842 and D:12 Nov.1916 at Maxwell, Hancock Co, IN where his son Riley Edwin JOHNSON and his wife Mary Ann ELLIOTT lived at the time.
George was married to Harriett MURNAN 6, Nov. 1862 Harriett was born in New Palestine, Hancock Co, IN the 16,Jun 1842 and D:29, Mar. 1913. Both George and Harriett are buried at Paris Crossing, Center Township, Jennings Co. IN.
I believe they also had a son by the name of Albert JOHNSON who went by Al,he may have married a Mary no last name and lived in Greenfield, Hancock Co. IN.
Kosiasko JOHNSON I don't think ever married, he is said to have been a farm hand for an elderly couple and when they died they willed him the farm, which could have been anywhere in Hancock CO.
Bill JOHNSON may have been another son that I know nothing about.
Family lore has it the George Washington JOHNSON was the 8th Sheriff of New Palestine but can not find where to look for this information.
