Hi Brigette, I'd be very interested in any information you could share. I live in southwest Colorado so it is rare that I get to central Indiana. My Jessup line came from North Carolina to Wayne County, Indiana about 1803 where they were one of the original families in the Whitewater Friends meeting. Some mosied over to the Carthage area and central Indiana in the 1820s and 1830s where they were members of the Walnut Ridge and Westland Friends. My g-g-grandmother, Jane Jessup, was booted out of the Whitewater Friends in 1834; she rejoined the Carthage Friends about 1868 and removed several years later to become a member of the Westland Friends until she died in 1890. My dad was born on a farm a little north of Morristown, just over the county line in Hancock County. Other surnames I have connections to in that area include Patten, Hill, Hughes, Pownall, McGraw, and Winslow. There are also a number of Cooks mixed in with the Jessups over the years in North Carolina and Indiana. For some reason Genealogy.com won't let me see your email address. You can email me directly if you wish at dryheatdan@msn.com Take care and Good Hunting! Dan Jessup Cortez, CO Notify Administrator about this message?
