I am looking for information on the John and Malinda Rittenhouse family. They were living in Hancock County in 1860. They were married in Shelby County in 1841. John was born approx. 1820 an Malinda was born approx. 1823. They had several children: Mary, Martha, Harriet, Peter, James Julia and Oliver.
I can't find them in 1850.
1860 - Hancock County
1870 - Shelby County
1880 - Boone County (Oliver is the only one with them by this time).
I don't know where/when they died. Would also like to find info on their parents, and even their descendants.
This is the "John Rittenhouse" was was the uncle that brought Mary Alice Smith a.k.a. Little Orphan Annie of Riley's poem to the Riley home.
Any info on the family - would be great!!
