The WPA Index to Marriages in Hendricks County, Indiana shows a marriage on October 22, 1846 between Timothy Jessup and Jane Jessup. Does anyone have more information about these two - parents, ages, children, etc?
Abraham Jessop, my g-g-g-grandfather, moved to the Hamilton County/Hendricks County area in 1834. He had a daughter Jane, born in 1812, but there is no family data or other indication that my Jane was ever married, even though she gave birth to my g-grandfather, Lewis Jessup, in 1834. Jane died in Carthage, Rush County, IN in 1890.
Two Jane Jessups in Hendricks county in the early days of its settlement - coincidence? Maybe. Same person? Maybe. Please help me sort this out.
