Taylor, Robert L.

Robert L.S. Taylor Plainfield, passed away March 8, 2007. He was born December 7, 1919 to the late Robert E. and Bethel M. (Hartzell) Taylor. He retired in 1981 after over 43 years as a night supervisor with Diamond Chain Company. He was a WWII Navy veteran. His memberships include the Plainfield Lions Club, Plainfield Masonic Lodge #653, Speedway American Legion Post 500 and the Plainfield Christian Church where a funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12 at 10 a.m. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Additional calling will be on Sunday, March 11 from 2- 6 p.m. in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Entombment will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Peggy (Etcheson) Taylor; sons, Tim (Monica) Taylor and Roger (Michelle) Tharp Taylor; daughters, Candy (Gary) Ballinger and Vicki (Larry) Kuhns; brothers, Lynn and Everett Taylor; sisters, Lila Taylor and Nancy Smoot; grandchildren, Patrick Taylor, Brittney Hilligoss, Noelle and Isabelle Tharp Taylor and Taylor, Tyler and Tanner Ballinger.
