The Danville Gazette posted an Administrator's Sale notice for the Estate of Celia Pearce at her late residence, "located 2 miles West and one-fourth mile North of Hazelwood and 2, 1/4 mile South of the Jacktown cross road on June 11th (1948) at 1 o'clock P.M> Elvin McClellan was Administrator. I take it "Pearce" was her married name, but am not certain. Roswell Pearce's family resided in Hendricks and Boone Cos. until 1884. Amand Jane Dowden of Lizton was nee Pearce of Decatur Co., IN. I am just curious of what Pearce family Celia belonged. I have a Celia Pearce, daughter of Willis and Charlotte S. Pearce of Miami Co., IN, who was single, but supposedly expired in 1957 there. There was a Capt. Wm. Pearce who moved from Peru to Kokomo and had some children in that vicinity. If anyone can help identify this Celia Pearce, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
