I have Caleb Jackson and Nancy Cartwright married on 16 Sep 1856 (CC2 p15) in Henry Co., IN by consent of her dad, William Cartwright. Witness, John Stiggleman. Minister, Daniel Bowman.

I was wrong about Caleb being in Delaware Co., IN.

My Jacksons were in Hancock Co., IN and that is where I believe you may have some luck.

By the 1870 Hancock Co., IN Census there is a Nancy Jackson, age 35 with a daughter and a son. She is living near other Jackson.

Have you checked for Caleb in the Civil War?
