The Census' bear out in locating parents for
Mary E. Hodson!!!!
1850 in Dearborn C IN, Manchester Twp, for
Alexander M Hodson and wf Elizabeth (spelled Hudson on it) with a dau Mary E. 3 months.
A marriage record for 1849, Dearborn County IN, shows Alexander M. Hodson married Harriet E. Lord.
Next door, lives Thomas Lord and Anna and family.
By 1860, Thomas Lord has died(1859)..hs wf and family go on to Henderson Co IL, while Alexander M. Hodson and his family remain in Manchester. Daughter Mary age 9, dau Arvilla age 7, dau Ida 2mos.
Alexander M. Hodson is b. Nov. 5, 1826, according to his 1890 grave stone inscription, and Census' give OH as birth place. Who are his parents????????
I find, with much kind help from other researchers, that he goes on to live in Honey Creek Twp Howard Co IN, where sons of George W. Hodson and Sarah Powell, were ministers there. Jonathan and David, Hodson bros, both marry Delilah Harts, one a niece, one an Aunt. Somehow I think ?????? Alexander M. Hodson fits into this lineage. Any help is appreciated.
Mary E. Hodson marries in Honey Creek, in 1867, a son of Sylvester Hart, Andrew Decalb Walton, of Oneco, Stephenson Co. IL. He is a nephew of the above mentioned Delilah Hart Hodson, wf of Jonathan.
These Walton and Hart and Hodson families lived, in early to mid 1800's, in Union Twp. Highland Co OH.
How Alexander M. Hodson fits in, is really intriguing me now. ???????????
Sylvester Hart and husband Nathaniel Walton go on from Union Twp., Highland Co, OH to Oneco, Stephenson Co. IL @ 1847. Their son, Andrew Decalb Walton brings his new wife, Mary Elizabeth back home to IL, to live, after they marry in Honey Creek, IN. They are on the 1870 and 1880 Census in Oneco, IL., living next to his parents.
Mary Elizabeth Hodson Walton's two sisters marry.
Arvilla married Francis M.Scott.
Lena married Christian Shaw.
Harriet, their mother, shows on the 1900 C, in Russiaville, IN, as mother-in-law to Christian Shaw, She is 68. Trying to find a record past that... She is not on the 1910 with them in Blaine Co OK. She is not showing buried with her husband Alexander M. Hodson, in the Russiaville Cemetery Howard Co., IN, either.
