I am desparatly seeking information to be able to piece together my Oats family. The original name was Oatzes but most of the records I have found say Oats. Sam and Frank Oatzes were brothers. Frank married a deaf girl named Dora McKee. I found records of the birth of 2 daughters and one son but no knows about anyone but my ggrandma, Ellen Oatzes, that was one of the girls. I am guessing they did not live to adulthood as my Grandma never heard of them. Dora McKee Oatzes died about 1902 and Frank remarried another deaf woman named Dora Bell. I found them in the 1920 census and it says Frank worked at the Kokomo Brass Works. Ellen married and moved to Elkhart County but I have no idea what happened to Frank or either Dora.I have some pictures I would love to share and would be very greatful to anyone who could help me.
