Hello,
I'm looking for any information on the Ide family who was living in Howard County at the time of the 1850 census. They were Reuben P. Ide, aged 54, Pheba Ide aged 50, their son (I assume) Reuben P. Ide, aged 29, and the younger Reuben's wife, Sarah (Gifford) Ide, aged 20. There was also a baby, Laura Ide. According the the census, the elder Reuben, and Pheba, were born in Vermont, while the younger Reuben was born in New York. I can find no further information about them. I'd appreciate any and all leads, such as when they moved to Indiana, birth dates, death dates, origin, etc. I know for a fact Reuben Jr. and Sarah were husband and wife-- I am assuming Reuben Sr. and Pheba were also married, but I suppose it's possible they could have been siblings as the census does not specify relationship.
