Seeking info on any children of NICHOLAS and LEAH (KEMP) WAIBEL as well as FRED and CAROLINE (LEHMANN) WAIBEL, brothers who settled in Remington.

Nicholas and Leah were married 2-11-1900 in Fairbury, Livingston Co. IL. He died 6-22-1927 in Remington. Fred and Caroline were married 2-19-1900 in Pontiac, Livingston Co. IL. They are known to have had at least one child, Sarah, born in 1910. Fred died 8-19-1929 in Remington.

Nicholas and Fred were two of seven children (the others being Mathilda, Mary, Lydia, Gottfried, and Louise) born to Thaddaus and Josephina (Biller) Waibel in Nesselwangen and Sipplingen, Baden Germany. The family emigrated to the US after 1883 and settled first in Fairbury, Livingston Co. IL (where some family members remained).

Thaddaus Waibel was born 9-21-1826 in Nesselwangen, the son of Konrad and Katharina (Mayer) Waibel. He married Josephina Biller on 2-22-1861 in Uberlingen. She was born 3-3-1828 in Sipplingen, the daughter of Stephen and Katharina (Widenhorn) Biller. Thaddaus died 4-24-1884 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery in Fairbury. Josephina died 12-17-1896 and is buried in the Southside Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery south of Fairbury.
