Looking for information on Alexander Campbell born about 1797 or so (probably in Pennsylvania) and lived in South Hanover, Jefferson co., Indiana. He is listed in the 1840 census and has several children in the household.
He married Lidia (or Lydia) INGRAM in Jefferson county, Indiana on 25 Feb. 1819. He apparently died before 1850 because he is not listed in this census, but his wife is (in South Hanover) along with 4 boys: W. (probably William) B. Campbell 20 - an engineer, Joseph 18, John 16, and Alexander 14. Lidia is listed as being 53 years of age, born in Kentucky.
I believe that Alexander had a brother named William B. (born about 1803 in Pennsylvania) who is listed in the 1840 and 1860 census (could not find him in 1850 yet) and married Nancy INGRAM (who is probably Lidia's sister) on 2 Sept. 1828 in Jefferson co., Indiana. She was born about 1799 in Kentucky.
I am in dire need of a list of children for Alexander Campbell and Lidia Ingram. And if the list confirms what I believe is to be true, need other information to move the line back. Thank you.
