Emeline Hays (aka Emma or Emily), b. 1846, d. 1928 m. Joseph Warren Lard ( aka Laird), b. 1831, d. 1897. Joseph was the son of Samuel Lard (1771 or 1772 - 1838) and Mary Williams Hughes (1796-1879). This was a second marriage for both Samuel and Mary.
Emeline and Joseph had three known children, all of whom are buried at Lancaster Cemetery, Jefferson Co., Indiana with their parents: William S., Nellie C., and Charles R.
