Ames lived in the Manville area, Milton Township, Jefferson County. He was an early minister at the Manville Christian Church

He is buried in the Manville Cemetery with the following inscription.

Dr. Aaron H. Ames, Nov. 10, 1801-July 23,1854, “Elder of the Christian Church”

I have a brief biographical sketch that ran in a newspaper, somewhere. As I remember it, it wasn't long on facts.
