I have 3 connections to the Mikesell family of Trimble Co. KY and Jefferson Co. IN. My 2nd gr-grandaunt Mary Corya (Kerya or Keryea in early marriage books) m. David Mikesell which I believe are the parents to your Simon Peter Mikesell. Mary was the dau of Phillip Corya and Sarah Hall who settled in Jennings Co. IN abt. 1814-1815 from PA. I can give you more on these families.
Simon Peter Mikesell's son Travis W. m. 1st Martha Van Cleave 1886 Jefferson Co. I am related to the Van Cleaves but can't connect her at this time.
Then Travis m. 2nd in 1888 Jefferson Co. to Margaret Stout, dau of my gr-granduncle John B. D. Stout and Amanda Matthews. In 1920 they lived in Clark Co. IN with daughter Marget (Margaret?) age 30.
I would like to find out what happened to Travis and his 2 wives and daughter and if there were more children by either wife.
