Looking for information on John Deputy(aged 16 & under 26),one female,under 5,& one female (aged 16 & under 26) in the 1820 Wood Co.,Va.census. He does not appear in the 1830 Wood Co.,Va. census. Cannot find a marriage record,or prove his parents. Suspect he was born in Delaware or Wood Co.,Va.It's believed he was the son of Henry Deputy (aged 26 & under 45) in the 1820 Wood Co.,Va.census. Was this proven? Also a Zachariah Deputy (aged 26 & under 45)appears in the 1820 Wood Co.,Va. Marriage record,Andrew Deputy married Eliazbeth (Cain),May 24,1827 Wood Co.,Va. by Rev.Reece Woolf. Marriage record,Archart Glaze married Sally DEPUTY,Jan.6,1814 Wood Co.,Va. by Rev.Reece Woolf. Archart Glaze(aged 26 & under 45 ) in the 1820 Wood Co.,Va. census. Wife Sally aka Sarah nee DEPUTY Glaze b.1796 Delaware d.1881 Ohio. Were Andrew & John Deputy,proven to be sons of Henry Deputy? 1830 Wood Co.,Va. census,Henry (aged 50 & under 60),Andrew ( aged 20 & under 30),& Zachariah Deputy (aged 40 & under 50) appear. How does Zachariah Deputy fit into the Deputy family? It's doubtless,Sally aka Sarah nee Deputy Glaze is related to this Wood Co.,Va. Deputy family. It seems not all Deputys b.De.,to Wood Co.,Va.,removed to Jennings Co.,Indiana. Interested in verifying Andrew & John ,as sons of Henry Deputy,as per " Early Pioneers of Wood Co.,(Va.) by John A.House"."Glaze,Archart- Sally Deputy-1814 This wife was doubtless a sister of Andrew and John Deputy." Can someone help? It would not surprise me if these Deputy & Glaze families lived next door to each other in original census records.
