Looking for the family of Nicholas Stark born abt. 1848 in Inidana. As a young man he moved to Mercer Co., Ohio and married my g/grandaunt, Theresa MEIRING in 1870. His first daughter, Elizabeth, was born in Ohio in 1871. In 1872 he moved his wife and daughter to Indiana to be close to his family. His second daughter, Anna Caroline, was born (according to death records in kansas) in 1873 in St. Magdalene, Indiana. My next documented location of Nicholas Stark and family was in the 1880 Fed. Census living in Bigger Twp., Jennings Co., Indiana. By 1880, he and his wife had three additional girls: Catherine (b. 1874), Rose (b. 1878) and Mary (b. 1879). Apparently, sometime after 1880, Nicholas Stark sold his property and moved to Neosho Co., Kansas, taking his wife and 5 daughters with him. I recently found his grave in St. Paul, Neosho Co., Kansas, along with his daughter Anna Caroline's grave. There is a very strong likelihood that Nicholas Stark'f family came from the greater Ripley-Jennings-Jefferson County area. Has anyone done any research into the Starks of that area? I live in Phoenix, AZ and am looking for direction to begin my search for the Stark family. Thank you!
