William Sage married Sarah Lawler on Christmas Day, 1825. William was the brother of John Sage and uncle of George Washington Sage, who was hung for the March 7, 1866 murder of one of the Todd children. He was the grandfather of Sara Jane Sage (1860-1929)m.
